GEA Programme No. 307 - August 2007 =================================== Editorial --------- Holiday Time! Here comes the second of the Summer Festival months; any amount of outdoor events on offer for us. And then there are the private holiday plans which we all have. So, although many of our usual event organisers are away this month, there is no shortage of things to join in with in Munich. So many of them are weather-dependant, like barbecues for instance, that email posting & reading is of first priority in August. Website Update Recent posts on the GEA Forum are now listed on the website's editorial page. These can include last minute ticket offers or jobs, or books; anything that's on the Forum. Have a look for yourself and see. Regular Beer Garden Date continues into August Listen, dance and drink to live music in the beer garden of Siebenbrunn am Tierpark, Siebenbrunner Str.5. They have a dance floor and no entrance charge. From 17:00 till 22:00 (in good weather) every Tuesday. September 15 – GEA Jubilee Celebration party - Preview As you know, the GEA enters its second quarter-century this year. Wouldn't it be great if all our associates - past and present - could join us (again) to celebrate those past 25 years? But actually, as the hall only holds 140 people, it might be a teensy-weensy bit overcrowded! Watch out for when the tickets for the 15th September are on offer later this month – so as to be able to reserve your place at this big celebration party. Celebrations will start in the afternoon with family entertainment; followed by an evening dinner, cash bar, entertainment including music and dancing. All for € 14.00 (children half price) towards expenses! Many happy returns in Autumn This year is also the 3rd birthday of our sponsor The English Comedy Club, who regularly provides us with tickets for the comedy evenings. Their “Birthday Special” offering is on the first week of September.
