BIM has several mail lists: A main list for all BIM members, & several others to support events we organise etc.

Majordomo is one of many thousands of standard Free programs available on BSD, Explanations of how to get Majordomo to subscribe or unsubscribe you, or to access archives etc, is all here.

Purpose: Geographicly Local BSD

Our lists are BSD BIM - Munich Area oriented. If you just found our pages while looking for a list that speaks German, BIM was not created for that: BIM's focus is geographic locality, not language, nor any one particular BSD variant. Other pre-existing wider BSD lists exist for particular BSD variants, & also for German language orientation. BIM lists are for geographically focused BSD events & interests, EG: Stammtisch, manning BSD stands at local trade shows etc, finding & arranging to visit & swap BSD media/ equipment etc, local BSD employee & freelance jobs, local BSD support & promotion etc. Some are subscribed beyond Munich Bavaria , even beyond Germany. Those seeking to create or offering more geographicly local BSD groups are listed here.

Other Lists For General BSD Discussion In German Language

If you are looking for lists to just discuss BSD topics in the German language, please also subscribe to other lists @ de.freebsd.org (inc. chat@ for all BSD, (not just FreeBSD), where you will have access to a wider pool of German speakers, with more experience available.

        - This list is just for Munich specific BSD topics.
        - You'll get a wider Germanic language audience on other lists,
          more tech depth & more respondents. 
        - A few on this list can't speak German.
	- No point replicating or competing with other BSD German lists.
